I was browsing around the company intranet at work today looking for a link to Highwire Press (highwire.org), a database of scientific publications. I found a link labeled “High Wire” and assumed that it would take me where I wanted to go. It didn’t. It was a link to highwire.com, which is a completely different sort of website. Not the sort of website that I (or you, for that matter) should be perusing. And not the sort of website that I would link to from this website, if you catch my drift.
